Emanuele Senici is Professor of Music History at the University of Rome La Sapienza. He studied musicology at the University of Pavia, King’s College London, and Cornell University. His research interests are in Italian opera of the long nineteenth century, from Mozart to Puccini, and in the theory and historiography of opera.
